ORAL SURGERY

  • Presentation of the program, objectives, teaching systematics, clinical practices, scientific work.
  • Anatomy and radiology in Implantology.
  • General measures in oral surgical procedures.
  • Simple surgical techniques in oral surgery.
  • Advanced surgical techniques in oral surgery – Medical treatment of pathologies in the oral cavity.
  • Pre-prosthetic surgery, inclusions, biopsies, Apicoectomy cellulite.
  • Complications in oral surgery and how to manage it.

OCCLUSION

  • The importance of occlusion in implant prostheses.
  • The concept of occlusal disease. Clinical examples.
  • Reference position: usual position versus centric relation. Materials and techniques for recording the centric relationship in the dentate patient, partially dentate, edentulous, and dysfunctional patient.
  • Vertical dimension. Concept, the vertical dimension can be varied, and the registration techniques.
  • Occlusal scheme: Bibalanced, group and organic function. What is the ideal occlusion, Biological and biomechanical advantages of organic occlusion
  • Disocclusion factors: individual anatomical, posterior (condylar trajectory and Bennet’s angle), anterior (overbite, protrusion, and disocclusion angle), and intermediate (curves of Spee and Wilson).
  • Techniques to reproduce the angle of disocclusion in an articulator.
  • Posterior occlusion: tripoidism versus cusp / fossa
  • Choice of the ideal occlusal scheme, depending on each specific case.
  • Occlusal scheme in the prosthesis on implants
  • Clinical protocol D.AT.O.
  • The articulator in daily practice. Choosing the ideal articulator. Utility and handling of the face bow. The reference planes. Mounting on the semi-adjustable articulator. Semi-adjustable articulator programming.
