International Master's Degree in Advanced Surgery

Who is it oriented to?

Dental professionals with experience, interested in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to develop the necessary surgical, implantology, periodontal and restorative skills, to correctly treat their patients with stomatognathic problems.

Our degree was created with the aim of providing all the scientific, technical and practical knowledge necessary to develop the surgical and restorative procedures with maximum guarantees, leading to the success of your treatments and consequently to the welfare of the patients, always based on ethical treatments agreed by the scientific community.

Methodology

Face to face in our training center equipped with classrooms and clinical area, for the performance of practices with patients.

Program Objectives

The final objective of our program is to prepare new professionals in the field of implantology and oral rehabilitation. Having a multidisciplinary approach that implements fundamental aspects in our profession such as prevention and maintenance of oral health, by providing our students with an appropriate methodology, principles, knowledge and skills necessary to act on pathologies that require surgical procedures of low, medium and high technical complexity.

Theoretical sessions: Development of the lectures.

Practical session: Workshop on animal model of different flaps and sutures techniques.

 

Friday: Presentation of the Master, first workshop and first visits with patients.

Saturday:

-Diagnosis in periodontics, clinical, radiological and microbiological diagnosis.

-Classification of periodontal diseases and their etiology and pathology.

-Periodontal prognosis.

-Non-surgical periodontal treatment, scaling and root planing techniques and antibiotic therapy.

-Periodontal surgery: resective and regenerative techniques.

-Crown lengthening.

Module 2:

Theoretical sessions: Development of the lectures.

 

Friday:

-The history of digital dentistry

-Terminology and the science behind digital dentistry.

-Imaging (photography, radiology and surface).

-The science behind the technology.

-Overview of digital systems currently available.

-Transition to digital dentistry.

-Technical requirements.

-Market review to estimate how to get started with digital dentistry.

 

Saturday: Surgical clinic, students perform surgeries.

Module 3:

Theoretical sessions: Development of the lectures.

Friday:

– Guided Surgery

-Diagnosis and planning using guided surgery tools.

-Software planning for guided surgery; Surgical techniques when performing assisted surgery.

-Complications in guided surgery.

 

Saturday: Surgical clinic, students perform surgeries.

Module 4:

Theoretical sessions: Development of the lectures.
Friday:
-Mucogingival Surgery

-Use of PRF on surgery and Osseo densification.

-Biological principles of mucogingival surgery.

-Classifications of recessions.

-Root coverage techniques (Uni and bilaminar techniques).

-Critical factors for success in periodontal plastic surgery.

 

Practical session: Workshop on root coverage techniques in animal skull model.

 

Saturday: Surgical clinic, students perform surgeries.

Module 5:

Theoretical sessions: Development of the lectures.
Friday:
-Surgical considerations in implant dentistry. Multidisciplinary approach.

-Immediate post-exodontic implants.

-Immediate loading in single units and complete restorations.

 

Practical session: Workshop on immediate implants with bio replication.

 

Saturday: Surgical clinic, students perform surgeries.

Module 6:

Friday:

-Theory on Maxillary sinus lift.

 

Practical session: Workshop on sinus elevation in animal model. Bio-replication guided surgery workshop.

-Rehabilitation with the All- On-4 Technique

-Basic technique and different variation.

 

Practical session: Implant placement workshop on models using the All -On-4 technique.

-Bone expansion in atrophic jaws.

Practical session: Workshop on bone expansion in an animal skull model.

-Advanced complementary surgeries.

-Diagnosis, action protocols, referral protocols.

 

Clinical session: Presentation of clinical cases.

-Treatments for the lips and adjacent regions.

-Orofacial fillings with hyaluronic acid.

-Non-invasive techniques and procedures to enhance dental treatments.

 

Practical session: Lip filler workshop on phantoms.

Thursday and Friday:
-Guided bone regeneration and Guided tissue regeneration

-Vertical growth.

 

Practical sessions: Workshop on Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) with resorbable and non-resorbable membranes on animal skull models.
