Who is it oriented to?

The program is aimed at general dentists and dental specialists who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills in this area, as well as those who want to become experts in endodontics and develop their professional career in this field.

A university specialist in clinical endodontics is targeted at dental health professionals who wish to specialize in periapical treatment and structures. This program is designed to provide a solid and updated training in the most advanced techniques, materials and concepts in endodontics, with the objective of improving the quality of care and well-being of patients.

Objetives

Provide advanced training in clinical endodontics: The program aims to provide a solid and updated training in the most advanced techniques, materials and concepts in endodontics, with the objective of improving the quality of care and well-being of patients.

Develop advanced clinical skills in endodontics: The program focuses on developing advanced clinical skills in endodontics, so that dental health professionals can provide effective and efficient treatments to their patients.

Promote research and innovation in endodontics: The program promotes research and innovation in endodontics, so that dental health professionals can apply the latest advances and knowledge in their clinical practice.

Module 1:

-Pathogenesis of Pulp and Periapical Diseases: Clinic and diagnosis, periapical processes and periapical processes and apical cysts.

-Endodontic anatomy: pulp cavity, number of canals, number of roots, types of canals, 3D anatomy.

-Coronal access cavity: principles, instruments and surgical technique.

-Ultrasound in root canal opening, access cavities, canal localization.

-Working length: Radiographic technique, electronic apex locators. Glidepath, Preflaring, Patency.

-Opening and localization of canals: Preflaring and Glidepath.

-Pain control in endodontics.

-Radiological diagnosis and periapical pathology.

Module 2 :

-Overall, biological and mechanical principles in the preparation of canals.

-NI-TI alloy: torsional stress, flexural stress or clinical fatigue.

-Rules for the use of rotary files.

-Biomechanical preparation with hand instruments.

-General principles of mechanic-rotational instrumentation.

-Crown-Down techniques.

-Simultaneous technique.

-Types of systems: continuous and alternating.

-Reconstruction of the endodontic tooth.

-Practical workshop: Biomechanical preparation of canals with the different rotating systems and reconstruction of extracted teeth in plastic blocks.

Module 3 :

-Bacterial biofilms in endodontics.

-Endodontic microbiology.

-Intracanal medication; One or two sessions.

-Irrigation of canals: Irrigating solutions, instruments.

-Irrigation activation systems: Ultrasound, endoactivator.

-Protaper NextGold file system.

-Reciproc file system,Reciproc Blue and Wave-one gold.

-Antibiotherapy and analgesics in endodontics.

-Medical and legal aspects of endodontic treatment.

-Dental traumatology (clinical cases).

-Practical workshop: Biomechanical preparation with the Protaper Next-Gold and Reciproc-Wave one system.

Módulo 4 :

-Root canal filling: Objectives, preconditions, instruments and materials.

-Filling techniques: Single cone, thermoplasticized with continuous heat wave, thermoplasticized with stem, bioceramics.

-Controversy endodontics vs implants: Implant-endodontic pathology.

-Complications and accidents in access and biomechanical preparation.

-Complications and accidents in obturation.

-Fissured tooth: Clinic, diagnosis and treatment.

-Reconstruction of the endodontic tooth with direct and indirect techniques.

-Practical workshop: Filling of canals with thermoplastic techniques.

Módulo 5 :

-Bio ceramic luting cements in endodontics: MTA, Biodentine.

-Root reabsorptions.

-Endodontic treatment in teeth with reversible pulpitis.

-Endodontic treatment in teeth with immature apex: apexogenesis and apexification.

-Pulp regenerative therapy (clinical protocol).

-Internal tooth whitening.

-X-ray and CBCT in endodontic diagnosis.

-Clinical workshop: Endodontics on patient.
